" Sometimes just holding your patient’s hand, and going through the basics of checking for signs of fever and cold in your patient even though it may not be needed, is essential as it instills trust and confidence in the patient, that you care as a doctor and will do your best to find a cure for the illness. "

Dr. V Ramasubramanian, one of the founders of The Capstone Clinic, is a specialist in Infectious Diseases, adolescent and adult Vaccinations and travel medicine.

Dr Ramasubramanian wanted to bring together a team of expert doctors who followed highly ethical patients and gave patients the importance they deserved. According to him, many hospitals and clinics have adopted a corporate culture, leading to shift of focus from patient to services. Thus, the true essence of a doctor’s role to “take care of patients “ is often lost, as patients are made to go through the defined process. Also, when patients are treated on a case to case basis, what could be a simple prescription ends up warranting a battery of tests. These create undue stress levels for the patient and their family, also undervaluing their time and money.

The Capstone Clinic was thus built, to put the focus back on ethical and holistic health practices, which is rare today. He believes that every patient who comes to The Capstone Clinic, leaves it with a feeling of contentment and comfort of having been cared for, with proper explanations given to each of the patient’s doubts, including a guaranteed minimal waiting time period and value for money. He is confident that patient's who walk out of The Capstone Clinic, are happier and healthier in the Capstone team intact.
